Profile: Professor Qiao received the B.S. degree in automation and the M.Eng. degree in control engineering from the College of Automation, Harbin Engineering University, China, in 2012 and 2014, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in control science and engineering from the Department of Automation, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 2020. From 2017 to 2018, he worked as a Visiting Research Scholar at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Ohio State University, USA. Currently, he is an Associate Professor with the School of Ocean and Civil Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University as well as the Key Laboratory of Marine Intelligent Equipment and System, Ministry of Education, China. Dr. Qiao has published over 60 journal/conference papers, including more than 20 in IEEE Transactions/Journals, Journal of Field Robotics, etc. He won the 2019 Premium Award for Best Paper in IET Control Theory & Applications as the first author, and won the Young Scientist Award of 2022 International Conference on Automation, Control, and Robotics Engineering. He was named in Stanford University List of Top 2% Scientists Worldwide since 2023.
Research Interests: Marine intelligent robotics and unmanned systems.
